About Us

We are family which can trace its ice cream-making heritage back nearly 120 years in Manchester. We have been either making or selling ice cream in and around Ancoats ever since our ancestors first emigrated from Italy in the second half of the 19th century.
After nearly 25 years concentrating solely on sales, Joe and Dominic opened a new factory in Gorton to start manufacturing ice cream again. The family’s brand of Marco Rea and Son’s has been trading since first opening a shop on Hood Street in 1904.
But the company stopped producing its own ice cream in 1987 and sold its Hood Street factory. But now Joseph and Dominic Rea relaunched the family brand Marco Rea's Mr.Reallygood at a new factory in Gorton Manchester
Joe is grandson of company founder Marco, said: “I’ve got ice cream in my blood. I love eating it and I don’t think there’s anything I don’t know about making it.
Manchester has been such a focus for Italian ice cream making for more than a century so I couldn’t resist getting involved again.”

We now not only produce ice cream, we also manufacture ice cream topping sauce and our famous 7:1 slush syrup, with over 100 flavours to choose from.
We can also design bespoke point of stickers
